In total contrast to any other region, Kayakoy is utterly unique. These beautiful remains were once a prosperous village, until 1922 when it fell abandoned. It will be undergoing some very selective and careful renovation, as a historic site it is a very valuable asset. It is a village where time stands still. The sun rises over the fields and all is peaceful. If you like the idea of back to nature living, and a quiet pace of life, maybe you will find it here. Although a peaceful hidden location, it is just 4kms from Ovacik, 6kms from Olu deniz and 12Kms from Fethiye.
